Got Tan?

Protect your tan investment! If you're not sure if the products you're using can be damaging, we suggest using our specially formulated Exfoliators, Body Washes, Tan Extender Lotions which will protect and prolong your tan. Find them under our "BUY IT" tab / TANtalizing Products. Here are some products to avoid, which can leave your tanned skin blotchy or expedite the exfoliation process (which you don't want when you've got a beautiful, sunless tan).

  • Bar soaps, anti-bacterial products & Dove products
  • Facial masks or exfoliating scrubs
  • Anti-acne products & anything containing Salicylic Acid
  • Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Beta Hydroxy Acids, Glycolic, Lactic, Malic, Citric, and Tartaric Acids
  • Curel lotion / Anti-aging products that “renew,” “refresh” or exfoliate skin
  • Retin-A type products
  • Makeup remover products
  • Toners containing Witch Hazel or Alcohol
  • Hair Inhibiting Lotions
  • Body hair bleach products
  • Wax hair removal & depilatory hair removal products (Nair, Veet, etc.)
  • Band-Aids or adhesive tape-Bug spray directly on skin (spray your clothes with it instead)

OTHER TIPS:

  • Shaving exfoliates the skin therefore fading the tan. Use a new and clean razor with a non-alcohol based, lubricating product such as hair conditioner.
  • Moisturize after your tan 1-2 times per day
  • Pat dry after a shower; don't rub dry
  • Avoid submersion in a hot tub, swimming pool, ocean & a hot bath for a long period of time
  • A woman's hormonal related occurrences (menstruation, ovulation, pregnancy, etc.) can affect the tan results
